Enchanted Forest

We planned a little winter getaway that we hoped would take us to a snowdrenched wonderland but turned out being a trip to an enchanted forest instead.  The snow didn't materialize and we enjoyed temperatures in the mid 50's.  As the day wore on, fog could be found in pockets as the sun warmed up the forest.  We spent our time in Cook Forest State Park, and I knew we would be wandering amongst the evergreens - so the green hues didn't surprise me.  But what did surprise me was the collective color I found throughout the forest.  It was a nice change from the drab brown that is so prevalent in western Pennsylvania in the middle of winter.  I could have spent hours wandering through what felt like an enchanted forest to me ...

And of course there were colorful details found in the forest as well ...
